November 2010: Zoe, a sweet 3 year old spayed female, was rehomed by a family with young children who were having difficulty meeting Zoe's unending needs for affection and attention. Zoe moved to her forever home in Pittsburgh, where she is with a retired couple and another dog who have lots of time for her:)
August 2010: Syre is an eight year old boy with one eye who came to our attention when his previous owners concluded that he could not stay with them due to their family circumstances and Syre's attention needs. Syre was bred by Hennagold Vizslas and appeared to have some fear issues. In addition, he was injured as a puppy in the whelping box and later lost his eye. It was not easy to find a home for Syre and his original breeder offered no assistance to the surrendering family. Fortunately, our friend Geri stepped in and saved the day by taking Syre. Here is a you tube video of Syre playing with another Vizsla owned by Ben Spalding, who was the driving force behind finding Syre his forever home!
October 2009: Roxie, a one year old intact female, was dumped in a Bucks County Shelter. We had Roxie spayed, and after a few weeks in foster care, this young girl found her forever home in New Jersey. She is in a house with children where she is loved and being raised properly:)

New Hope Vizsla Rescue is a local Vizsla rescue group organized in 2010 to help Vizslas in the eastern Pennsylvania area and beyond. Our name has a double meaning, as Steve lives in the New Hope area and our mission is to provide new hope for unwanted dogs. We believe that Vizslas have the intelligence and motivation to start over again, and Steve, as the former rescue chair for the Vizsla Club of America, has helped countless dogs suceessfully find new forever homes. We are a non-profit group with a network of volunteers committed to helping Vizsla lovers help Vizslas in need.
We are registered as a non-profit with the IRS and have 501(c)(3) status.
